Our Programmes

Be The Ladder identifies and supports young people with emerging potential, particularly where that potential may not yet be fully recognised.

Be The Ladder programmes combine personal development with access to opportunity.

They include:

  • mentoring and coaching

  • enrichment programmes (including sport and drama)

  • funded participation in educational visits and residentials

  • transition support into secondary education

  • opportunities for leadership and contribution

Programmes are designed to be sustained and developmental, ensuring that impact builds over time.

Impact

Be The Ladder aims to create meaningful, measurable and lasting impact.

For pupils, this includes:

  • increased confidence and self-belief

  • improved communication and social interaction

  • greater engagement with school and learning

  • increased participation in enrichment opportunities

  • readiness for transition into secondary education

  • development of leadership behaviours

For families, this provides reassurance that their child is being supported to grow, succeed and access opportunities.

For partners and supporters, it represents a tangible and scalable way to invest in future potential

Our Approach to Opportunity

A central part of our work is ensuring that opportunity is not limited by circumstance.

Through targeted support, we enable young people to:

  • participate in experiences that build confidence and independence

  • access opportunities that broaden horizons

  • develop skills that support long-term success

By combining personal development with practical support, we ensure that potential can be fully realised.

Our aim is not only to help young people succeed, but to equip them with the confidence and capability to create opportunity for others in the future.
